Housing

Opening Doors

The cornerstone of HOPE Calloway is our transitional housing program. We provide temporary shelter and supportive coaching to people who have lost their housing and face barriers to housing stability. Transitional housing solves an immediate need for these families in crisis — a safe living situation.

Outreach

Building Relationships

We reach out to other local agencies so we can work hand-in-hand to provide the best chances of success for our clients. Through awareness events and fundraisers, we stand as advocates for the homeless and promote community involvement. And we don’t limit what we do to what happens inside our offices. We go out into the community, meeting those who are struggling where they are.

Prevention

Breaking the Cycle

We offer free, supportive coaching and free community workshops to lower-income community members or those who are at-risk of homelessness. We recognize the issues leading to homelessness are vastly different for each person, so we work together to find risk factors and address them, helping prevent future housing instability.

Emergency Assistance

Help When You Need It

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Whether you are struggling to get back and forth to work, finding a place to stay, or just making ends meet, we are here to help. We don’t always provide the exact service everyone is looking for, but we don’t rest until we connect them with someone who does.

Fighting Homelessness

Showing
Compassion

HOMELESSNESS doesn’t always appear as you would envision it. Some people who are homeless have full-time jobs, are clean-shaven and well-spoken. Others have a high school diploma or college degree, but have been victims of circumstances beyond their control. Some are teenagers or college students who are known as “couch surfers.“ Some are single mothers who are escaping domestic violence. Others are married couples who have lost their jobs and have found themselves to be down on their luck. And some might be struggling to make ends meet because of a devastating medical diagnosis such as cancer. The scenarios are endless.

ALL of these people have a story. HOPE Calloway seeks to listen to these stories and show compassion to our friends and neighbors who are facing homelessness by helping them along their pathway to success.
